Tennessee Watchman Mon – Sat | 11AM WVRY 105.1FM | 6PM WJZM 1400AM
Felony conviction possible if a school bus full kids shows up while your are carrying a sling shot is quite scary enough but you can be in a restaurant having a meal carrying your perfectly legal “weapon” under this code and if there is a meeting in that restaurant of directors of some college or another is having a meeting there, you could be set up for a felony.  Really!

This is not to say police or sheriffs, under normal circumstances, would make such an arrest.  It is to say the law is dangerous because of the word “USED by”.  A Citizens legal position should not be changeable within the law because another person or group happens to be, arrive to or depart from the same business, park or facility.

Tennessee Code 39-17-1309-B-1 & B2
I am told I cannot be printed the code here without the permission of “Lexus Nexis” Who apparently owns the Tennessee Code!  Does that sounds right to you?  No direct link to the code is available either.  You must go to Lexisnexis.com  click that you comply with their rules, find Chapter  39 then 17 then part 13 then 1309… Nuts!
