TN: Family, friend gather soldier care packages

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. — Joey Hobbs, 11, and his aunt Ashley Sand are operating in high gear to collect donations for homeless veterans and care packages for troops stationed overseas. Joey and his best friend Levi Thomas were in the Shelbyville Walmart Friday to collect donations. Sand had planned to be present but was called in to work at the last minute. “It’s killing me not to be there,” Sand said.
