America’s Problem, a Kid’s Solution: in the Opinion of a 14 Year Old

At IOTC we teach and promote the American View of Law and Government. We also talk about the faith of our founders. The founders believed wholeheartedly that in order to maintain a free nation, teaching the Bible and morality must be the foundation of education. We agree! As such, we have encouraged any young person to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Take one look at the American field of political issues, and you will see the great trouble our country is in.  We have a national debt that exceeds eighteen trillion dollars, and the Federal government has confiscated over six-hundred million acres of state land and called it national parks, national forests, and national wilderness areas.

The Supreme Court defied the law of God by spurring on the practice of homosexuality, and heinous facilities in this country murder over a million babies in the womb every year.

Eleven million illegal immigrants have snuck through our borders, and President Barack Obama wants to strip away the Second Amendment rights of millions of law abiding American citizens.  The EPA constantly creates unconstitutional environmental policies that hinder business and productivity, and children are denied the right to pray and acknowledge God in school.

How did we get into this mess?

The answer is that the Federal government has far overstepped the limitations set for it in the Constitution.  As always, Washington claims that if it has more power, it will fix our problems.  But if Washington has not fixed, but only grown these problems when they claim more unconstitutional power, how would the cycle change if we gave Congress, or the President more power?  The cycle would not change.

Lord Acton said that “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”  The more power a governing body has, the more corrupt it will become.  Since giving the government more power won’t solve our problems, we must find a solution to fix our problems.

This solution is this: we the people must take our government back from the corrupt politicians who want to control every inch of our lives.  Ronald Reagan said that “Man is not free unless government is limited.”

Restoring freedom to the people… that is how to fix America.

if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.
