At IOTC we teach and promote the American View of Law and Government. We also talk about the faith of our founders. The founders believed wholeheartedly that in order to maintain a free nation, teaching the Bible and morality must be the foundation of education. We agree! As such, we have encouraged any young person to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Since September 11th, 2001, radical Islam has been gaining power and becoming a greater and greater threat to national security. Friday’s tragic massacre in Paris, France demonstrated the great threat that radical Islam poses to any nation that is not driven and guided by their religious fanaticism. However, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats refuse to utter the term radical Islamic terrorism. Radical Islamic terrorism is not protected by the First Amendment. Free exercise is only valid if it is not abusing the life, liberty, or property of others.
According to French prosecutors, one bomber in Paris was found with a Syrian passport. Yet the Obama administration will not back down on its plans to relocate thousands of Syrian refugees to the U.S.
If these refugees are fleeing a country torn by Islamic terrorism, how can we be sure that every refugee is safe?
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wrote in a letter to the president that, “Neither you nor any federal official can guarantee that Syrian refugees will not be part of any terrorist activity. As such, opening our door to them irresponsibly exposes our fellow Americans to unacceptable peril.”
Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), a GOP presidential candidate, is proposing a bill to halt visas from all countries with significant jihadist movements. He told reporters Monday that, “The best way to defend the country from attackers that don’t really have an army, but come here as individuals, is to prevent their access into this country. It is about time, and I think Paris should wake us up to the fact that we can’t just let anyone come to this country.”
President Obama’s plans to accept tens of thousands of Syrian refugees into the United States by 2017 are nothing short of foolish. If we want to end radical Islam, the last thing we want to do is accept refugees who could possibly be related to ISIS. National security is an issue that doesn’t always give you a second shot. End refugee resettlement, or sacrifice American national security.
