Can governors actually block refugee resettlement?

Editor’s Note:  The “way things work” in Washington are NOT CONSTITUTIONAL.  American’s need to begin to remember that we are allowing: the servant; the created entity; our agent; the national government to act as if it were the boss.  While the:  creators; the employers; the States and The People are treated as if we are surfs and slaves.  This is the OPPOSITE of a Constitutional Republic.

So far, almost half of America’s governors have demanded a halt to Barack Obamas plans to admit tens of thousands of refugees from the collapse of Syria. That includes one Democratic governor, New Hampshire’s Maggie Hassan, while seven other Democrats are giving the green light to resettlement. However, neither of these positions will end up mattering, at least not legally, as governors have no authority to restrict the federal government’s actions on asylum decisions: Under Section 412 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, states do not have the authority to refuse foreign nationals who have been granted asylum or…
