The day before the terrorist attacks in Paris, President Obama said his strategy against ISIS is working.
Well I don’t think [ISIS is] gaining strength. What is true is that, from the start, our goal has been first to contain and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq. But you don’t see this systematic march by ISIL across the terrain.
California Senator Dianne Feinstein on Monday refuted Obama’s claims on MSNBC.
I’ve never been more concerned. ISIL is not contained. ISIL is expanding. They just put out a video saying it is their intent to attack this country and I think we have to be prepared. There’s only one way we’re going to diminish them and that is by taking them out because they are growing.
Even CNN’s Christiane Amanpour called out Obama’s lies.
According to many of the military experts, here and around the world, who I’ve spoken to that our strategy is working – people do not believe that to be the case. [Obama] is saying ISIS is contained. This also is not actually true. ISIS is not contained because ISIS attacked a Russian plane, attacked Beirut, and has now attacked [Paris.]
On Monday, even the MSNBC Morning Joe panel ridiculed the Democrat candidates for skirting the term “radical Islam.”
Joe Scarborough: How stupid do they think we are? You have to recognize the threat. The threat is radical Islam.
Mike Barnacle: How is use of the phrase radical Islam going to inflame ISIS anymore than it’s already inflamed? Radical Islam is basically just an aspect of the truth of what’s going on.
