President Obama’s theory of executive power is peculiar. Though he routinely operates unilaterally on important issues without any constitutional basis to do so, he also loves to cite supposed support for his agenda.
He waffles constantly between a policy of populism and absolute despotism. When he can grab hold of a manipulated poll that remotely supports his agenda, Obama is a president “of the people” who claims to be dutifully exercising their will.
When popular opinion is against him, he is a rogue president, willing to roll-up his sleeves to trample the Constitution and any Republican who stands in his way.
With this power-hungry brand of “leadership” in the Oval Office, it’s unlikely that the latest polls concerning “climate change” will dissuade America’s dictator from lunging forward heedlessly with his agenda to combat the supposed problem that most people simply call “weather.”
According to a recent poll, a whopping 97% of Americans don’t care about “climate change,” the leftist term used to describe weather and justify the green technology cronyism that is deeply embedded within the Democrat Party.
Obama has worked to further the “the sky is falling” climate change narrative to the point of absurdity. While most in the Western world are (rightfully) concerned about the threat of terrorism at the hands of radical Islamic jihadists, Obama and his politically-impotent Secretary of State John Kerry have prattled-on endlessly about the supposed danger of the politically-infused “science” behind “climate change.”
Obama, during his January State of the Union address, even claimed, “No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change.”
As if that were not ridiculous enough, Obama has made similar remarks a whopping 22 times since then.
According to a recent poll conduct by Fox News, only 3% of likely voters cited “climate change” as the most-important issue facing Americans.
The Daily Caller reports on the findings:
A November Fox News poll of more than 1,000 registered voters found that only 3 percent listed “climate change” as the most important issue facing the country today, down from 5 percent in August. Americans were much more worried about terrorism, the economy and immigration than global warming.
Even among Democrats concern for global warming was low. The Fox poll found only 6 percent of Democrats listed global warming as their top concern, compared to 1 percent of Republicans. Men were slightly more likely than women to list global warming as their top concern, and whites were more likely than blacks to worry about warming.
The truly sad part is that there very well may be environmental dangers worth discussing if the “science” behind the furtherance of the climate change agenda were not so totally polluted with politics.
Whether it is big oil or “green” technologies, those who stand to profit greatly from an exploitation of the world’s energy demands are not opposed to twist and manipulate the findings of bought-and-paid for “scientists.”
As for the rest of America, it seems that the threat of beheadings…
