Noshville, Bongo Java go different ways on ACA mandate

The Tennessean reports on how Obamacare has forced popular Nashville diner, Noshville, to close its iconic Broadway location earlier than expected. Now, local chain Bongo Java is biting the bullet and paying workers insurance, which it says will cost double the penalty amount of $30,000 to $40,000.

(Editor’s note: I’m not saying employee health coverage is bad. But it’s wrong for the government to meddle with businesses’ internal affairs. Restaurants are notoriously low-margin businesses, and upwards of $80,000 a year that is not put back into operations is a difficult proposition, one that kills tax-paying jobs that make people self-sufficient.)
