When asked at a campaign event in Iowa two weeks ago a question about part-time workers, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton admitted that Obamacare contains “unfortunate incentives that discourage full-time employment.”
Specifically, Obamacare forces businesses with 50 or more full-time employees to offer their workers health insurance or face exorbitant penalties. This misguided rule has spurred employers into moving former full-time employees into part-time positions to save money.
Even PolitiFact admitted that “hundreds of thousands of workers [if not millions] may have seen their hours cut as the law’s impact began to be felt.”
Of course, since Clinton happens to be a radical leftist lunatic, she wants to deal with this problem in an unreasonable way by implementing additional “employment rules,” i.e., even more unnecessary regulations.
“I really worry about it because there is a trend to try and move more and more people into part-time work,” Clinton said. “And sometimes you want to work part-time, it fits into your family, it fits into your life obligations, but sometimes you want to work full-time but you can’t get a full-time job. So I want to look at all the employment rules.”
A much more sensible alternative would be to just get rid of Obamacare, but being reasonable is obviously not something we should expect any liberal to do!
