Busted: Obama’s Own White House Just Managed To Catch Him In A Big ISIS Lie He Can’t Escape From

A newly released intelligence report commissioned by the White House directly contradicts President Obama’s assessment made last month that ISIS is “contained.”

U.S. officials told the Daily Beast that the approximately eight-page report “predicts that the self-proclaimed Islamic State will spread worldwide and grow in numbers, unless it suffers a significant loss of territory on the battlefield in Iraq and Syria.”

The officials, speaking on a condition of anonymity, said that the report was commissioned prior to the Nov. 13 Paris attacks, and before the president said that ISIS is contained.

After reviewing the report’s sober conclusions, Obama sought options from Sec. of Defense Ash Carter and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford concerning how to more effectively prosecute the fight against ISIS.

Carter announced last month that it would be deploying additional special forces soldiers into Syria and Iraq to conduct raids and coordinate air and ground strikes in conjunction with local forces. Reportedly, approximately 200 soldiers will be involved, joining an additional 50 special forces troops that the Pentagon in October announced will be operating in Syria.

“Defense chiefs have also tasked the military’s Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to host an interagency think tank of military, diplomatic, and intelligence representatives to come up with other options,” according to The Daily Beast.

Obama confirmed the enhanced efforts to combat ISIS in his Oval Office address on Sunday night, stating“In Iraq and Syria, airstrikes are taking out ISIL leaders… In both countries, we’re deploying special operations forces who can accelerate that offensive.” Obama added: “We’ve stepped up our effort since the attacks in Paris.”
