Wow: Jeb Bush Just Made The Worst Accusation Against Trump A GOP Candidate Could Face

Conspiracy theorists have been given a new chance to gnaw on an oft-chewed morsel now that flailing Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush has revived talk about a deal between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton that would give her the White House.

“Maybe Donald negotiated a deal with his buddy @HillaryClinton. Continuing this path will put her in the White House,” Bush tweeted Tuesday.

Bush was spurred to action by Trump’s call for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. and a Trump tweet declaring most of his supporters would stand by him if he waged a third party candidacy. Bush has lagged far back in the polls, while Trump has been at or near the top since he declared his candidacy.

Trump-Clinton connections over the years include Trump’s invitation to Bill and Hillary Clinton to attend his 2005 wedding and a phone call from Bill Clinton to Trump just before Trump entered the race. Bill Clinton and Trump have both said they never talked about the presidency.

The concept of a deep-level, Trump-Clinton conspiracy has been floated around since the summer, with various writers finding trails of bread crumbs to support conspiracy theories. Washington Post writer Justin Wm. Moyer had a different take on the issue

“Of course, this would mean that the Clintons — who, for all of their political power, couldn’t beat Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) in the 2008 Democratic primary — would have had to cultivate a fickle, volatile real-estate developer turned reality TV host for more than a decade; bet that he could mount a serious presidential campaign, but one not serious enough to win a general election; and engineer this grand conspiracy without anyone finding out about it,” he wrote.

Trump himself has scoffed at the concept.

“Believe me — from Hillary’s standpoint, the one person she doesn’t want running against her is Donald Trump,” he has said.
