Hillary Clinton Is Not Thrilled The House Is Voting On Obamacare Repeal

The measure has already passed both chambers using a fast-track procedure called reconciliation, but requires another House vote after the Senate amended it in early-December.

“President Obama has consistently avoided facing the failures of Obamacare, claiming that the law is working even as co-ops are crumbling, coverage is being dropped, and premiums keep going up,” House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said in a statement Monday. “Passing and sending an Obamacare repeal to the president’s desk will set America up for a new patient-centered healthcare system that gives families the power over their healthcare decisions instead of Washington bureaucrats.”

The repeal of Obamacare would cut $516 billion off the deficit according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

House Speaker Paul Ryan made it clear overturning the law and offering an alternative is one of his top priorities.

If the bill passes as expected, it will be the first time a measure unraveling Obamacare hits Obama’s desk.

if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.
