Anger and Suspicion at Slow Response to Disaster

Editor:   Humanists have been pushing government disaster support and doing everything possible to alienate and even legislation to prevent private, and especially Christian organizations from providing long time traditional relief.   The media also does it's best to minimize non-governmental giving and support.  It is yet another reason why exists, to bring forward to truth the government is the least capable of providing timely and qualitative relief when people are hurting.  Government provides it's support from funds ROBBED from we the people as there is no Constitutional authority for the federal government to be involved.  It was designed that way so support for our neighbors would bless US in a way that a 3rd party taking your money, often against your will, never can. 

Officials in Ha Tinh province began handing out sacks of rice to 4,500 of the worst hit households. Limited relief funds have also been allocated for some of the thousands of seafood farmers who risk losing their livelihoods.

Civil society organisations and religious groups have criticised the response as too little too late. Some have already begun delivering supplies to destitute fishermen and their families, and are appealing for more help from home and abroad.

Hundreds of tonnes of fish are believed to have been killed in a so far unexplained environmental catastrophe that has already affected tens of thousands of people and could have damaging consequences for the national economy.
