President Donald Trump responded to Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) on Monday after she called for people to harass Trump administration officials.

“Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!” Trump tweeted

Waters’ controversial comments and Trump’s tweet followed several events in which Trump administration officials have been refused service or been harassed while dining out. The most recent confrontation occurred Friday night when White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and several family members were at the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. Restaurant co-owner Stephanie Wilkinson approached the party and asked them to leave. When asked why she requested Sanders vacate her restaurant, Wilkinson told the Washington Post the press secretary works for a “inhumane and unethical” administration.

Over the weekend, Waters encouraged incidents of the sort to continue.

“If you see anybody from [Trump’s] cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif) called out Waters for her comments on Monday.

“In the crucial months ahead, we must strive to make America beautiful again,” Pelosi tweeted. “Trump’s daily lack of civility has provoked responses that are predictable but unacceptable. As we go forward, we must conduct elections in a way that achieves unity from sea to shining sea.”

Prior to the incident at the Red Hen, two other Trump administration officials were recently confronted while trying to dine out. Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen was confronted by protesters in a Mexican restaurant near the White House last Tuesday night and had to leave. Senior White House Adviser Stephen Miller was also yelled at two nights before while at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C.
